Tipped as one to watch in 2017 by Jazzwise Magazine, Camilla George is a London based saxophone player, improviser, composer and teacher. In 2009 she joined award-winning band, Jazz Jamaica and in 2014 formed the Camilla George Quartet.
On Monday 27th February 2017 her album launch tour arrived at Kenilworth Jazz Club and played to a full house. The band comprised Camilla George on alto sax, Sarah Tandy on keys, Dan Casimir on bass and Femi Koleoso on drums. Fast becoming one of the hottest young groups on the British Jazz scene, the Emily Francis Trio are a London based group who combine influences from Jazz-Funk, Soul and Progressive Rock with a traditional improvised sensibility, resulting in fresh and exciting compositions.
To date the trio have had several high profile shows including EFG London Jazz Festival, Ealing Jazz Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Festival as well their recent successful 10-date UK tour, which has earned them high acclaim among the Jazz fraternity.
